About Marc Andre

Marc Andre Author

Marc Andre is a personal finance writer who covers finance, business and entrepreneurship.

Andre started his first online business in 2008 — a web design blog. Since then, he's launched other successful blogs on photography and personal finance and built a successful e-commerce business selling private label products on Amazon.

His writing has appeared in Business Insider, MSN, Marketwatch, Morningstar, The Ladders, and many other outlets, and his insights have been featured in publications like Forbes, Business Insider, Yahoo! Finance, HuffPost, U.S. News & World Report, Fit Small Business, GOBankingRates and many others.

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Andre worked for six years in the financial industry, including roles in banking, mortgages and credit. He completed a certification as a Certified Internal Auditor and conducted Sarbanes-Oxley audits for a publicly traded company.

Never finding a job that provided the growth opportunities he was looking for, Andre’s experience with career frustrations as an employee ultimately led to starting his own business as a side hustle in 2007. A year and a half later, he was able to leave his full-time job and has been working independently ever since. He’s sold four different online businesses for a combined total of more than $1.5 million, and his stories of successful exits have been featured on podcasts like Side Hustle Nation, Flippa and Millionaires Unveiled.

Andre writes about money and entrepreneurship because of the impact those topics have had on his own life, changing his family's financial situation for the better. He hopes to be able to help others who are looking to improve their finances and start their own online business.
