How the Rove referral program works
When you sign up through a referral link, you get 500 miles instantly.
The person who referred you earns 500 miles and also earns 10% of the miles you collect from shopping and cash travel bookings during your first six months, up to 50,000 miles.
Once you earn at least 250 miles, they receive an additional 500 miles.
One helpful tip if you share travel expenses with a partner is to have them open a Rove account first and then refer you.
This allows your household to earn the 10% referral override on your early bookings. If you have a big hotel stay or other travel purchase coming up, signing up through your partner’s link keeps more of the bonus miles within the same household (instead of going to mine (: ) while you both enjoy the trip.
How to Earn More Miles

The hotel booking is where Rove really shines.
You can earn significant miles when booking cash rates, and often the prices match what you’d pay booking directly.
For example, I found the Nobu Hotel Chicago pricing at $857.40 per night through Rove, which matches the direct rate. But booking through Rove earns you 14,746 miles (17.2x multiplier). Since you’re paying the same price either way, using Rove becomes a no-brainer.
The hotel selection isn’t massive, but there are quality options available.
When the pricing is competitive with direct booking, the high earning rates make Rove worth checking before booking elsewhere.
