Webull is running three promotions right now.
The IRA transfer match and transfer fee reimbursement both end June 30, 2026, while the IRA contribution match is ongoing.
To access these offers, open a Webull account (and an IRA for the match offers) and check the promotions tab in the app.
There’s no special link or promo code, and the referral bonus that was available expired March 31, 2026.
What you qualify for depends on whether you’re a free user or a Premium subscriber.
- IRA Transfer Match (up to 3%). Move an existing IRA to Webull and Premium subscribers ($3.99/month or $40/year) get a 3% match, maxing out at $7,500. The match hits your account within a few days of your transfer settling, and you can make multiple transfers during the offer period. Runs through June 30, 2026. The catch: cancel Premium before 12 months and Webull takes the entire match back. Withdraw within five years and you’ll get hit with fees if your balance drops too low. You can use this alongside the contribution match below.
- IRA Contribution Match (up to 3.5%). An ongoing promotion. Premium subscribers get 3.5% on new IRA contributions, non-subscribers get 1%. Same 12-month Premium requirement and five-year withdrawal rules as the transfer match.
- Transfer Fee Reimbursement (up to $175). Transfer a brokerage account with $2,000+ and Webull covers up to $100 in fees. Transfer an IRA with $5,000+ and you get up to $75 back. This only covers actual fees your old brokerage charges — no fee, no reimbursement. You have 30 days to claim it through the app or it expires. Runs through June 30, 2026.
My Take
Of the three, the IRA transfer match is the one worth discussing.
It has the highest potential payout: 3% on up to $250,000 in transfers, maxing out at $7,500.
The match lands in your account within days, which is better than Webull’s older offers that paid out in installments over five years.
But here’s what you’re signing up for:
- Keep your Premium subscription for 12 months. Cancel early and Webull claws back the entire match.
- Leave the funds alone for five years. Withdraw too soon and you get hit with removal fees.
That five-year hold is the real sticking point.
If you like to move funds around to take advantage of new brokerage offers, this takes you out of the game for half a decade.
If you’re more of a passive investor that buys index funds, five years isn’t really a sacrifice. You weren’t planning to move the money anyway.
The contribution match is fine but won’t blow anyone away.
At 3.5% on the 2026 contribution limit of $7,500, that’s $262. Subtract the $40/year Premium fee and you net about $222.
Nice to have if you’re already at Webull, not a reason to switch on its own.
Robinhood offers a 3% IRA match with a similar setup, so it’s competitive but not unique.
The transfer fee reimbursement is the least interesting of the three.
Most brokerages reimburse transfer fees in some form, and the way Webull advertises it can make it look like a flat credit when it’s really just covering whatever your old brokerage charges.
A note on Webull itself.
It’s a fully registered U.S. brokerage with SIPC protection up to $500,000, but it is Chinese-owned.
In 2024, 14 states opened a probe into Webull’s data privacy practices and potential ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
That doesn’t make it illegitimate, but personally, I wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving money over the SIPC limit there.
Especially retirement funds. If you have a large IRA, that’s something to seriously think about before transferring.
More on that in my full Webull review.
Bottom line: the transfer match is a solid offer if you’re already comfortable with Webull and plan to stay invested long-term. For everyone else, the five-year commitment and strings attached probably aren’t worth it.
