  1. Hi R.J. Weiss,

Thanks for the great ideas you’ve shared with us here!
I started out as a freelancer writer and now own my blog.
I can confidently say that these tips cover a lot about freelancing.
I must also add that Facebook groups and subreddits are good for finding jobs and recurring clients. You only have to find a group/forum related to your niche, connect with other users, and apply for any gigs posted.

    • Hey Mike,

Thanks for the kind words. Actually had a similar path of freelance writer turned blogger.

Good point on the FB Groups. There are a few FB Groups in the personal finance space (most notable Fincon) with consistent work for freelancers.

      Great tip

  2. Hi R.J. Weiss,

This guide is a game-changer for aspiring freelancers! What really stood out to me was the emphasis on value creation over just “following your passion.” That shift in mindset alone can save beginners months of frustration.

The breakdown into four actionable steps makes the whole process feel achievable—even for someone just starting out with zero experience. The insights about building social proof as a beginner and converting leads into clients are especially practical.

I’ve already started applying some of the advice here and can see how it builds confidence, structure, and momentum.

Looking forward to diving into the niche-specific guides next. For anyone serious about freelancing, this is the roadmap you didn’t know you needed.

    Thanks!
