TradeUP is running a limited-time offer that lets new users earn up to 50 free shares of NVDA when they open and fund an account using the promo code wealth.

To qualify, open a new TradeUP account and make settled deposits or ACATS transfers during the campaign period. You’ll also need to maintain your qualifying balance for at least 30 consecutive days and complete at least 10 valid trades.

Deposits are aggregated, meaning multiple transfers count toward your total qualifying amount. Pending, reversed, or internal transfers don’t count.

Must Know:

  • Bonus timing: Shares are distributed monthly (one per month) starting at the end of the calendar month after you’ve held your qualifying balance for 30 days and completed 10 trades.
  • Holding rule: Proceeds from sold reward shares can’t be withdrawn for three months unless you’ve completed at least ten valid trades.
  • Expiration: All qualifying deposits and transfers must settle by May 31, 2026.
  • Eligibility: Only taxable brokerage accounts qualify. IRAs and other retirement accounts are not eligible.

My Take

At NVDA’s current price of roughly $185 per share, the lower deposit tiers offer the best percentage returns.

Depositing $2,000 to earn one share works out to about a 9% effective bonus, which is excellent. The $10,000 tier for two shares drops to around 3.7%, still solid compared to most brokerage promotions.

The higher tiers are less compelling on a percentage basis. A $1 million deposit earns 50 shares worth about $9,250, or just under 1%. That’s below the 2% transfer bonuses you can find elsewhere, though those often come with multi-year hold requirements.

The bigger consideration here is the structure.

Unlike most stock promotions that pay out quickly, TradeUP distributes shares monthly over up to 24 months. You also need to complete 10 trades and maintain your balance for 30 days before the first share even posts. If your balance drops below your qualifying tier at any point, you forfeit all remaining shares.

This makes the promotion best suited for active traders who are already planning to move funds and trade regularly. If you’re just looking to park money and collect a quick bonus, other promotions will serve you better.
