GoCashBack is a cash-back platform that rewards customers for online purchases through their website or Chrome extension. By shopping through GoCashBack, you can earn a percentage of your spending on each transaction.
If you sign up using the code wealth, you’ll get a $15 bonus. This $15 sign-up bonus is exclusive to The Ways To Wealth readers. The publicly available offer is $5.
The bonus is added to your account when you sign up, but you can’t withdraw it until $10 in shopping rewards (not including the bonus) has become available in your account.
Payment options include PayPal, paper checks, or gift cards.
The sign-up link takes you to GoCashBack’s homepage. To apply the code, open the sign-up form, click the “I have a referral code” checkbox above the “Join Now” button, and type wealth into the Referral Code field.

How Does GoCashBack Compare?
The $10 minimum withdrawal, $15 sign-up bonus, and options to withdraw via both PayPal and gift cards are some advantages GoCashBack offers. Also, as with sites like Rakuten, GoCashBack does offer limited-time promotions with higher cash-back rates.
When randomly pulling cash-back rates from a selection of top online retailers, I found GoCashBack rates were in line with some competitors’ rates but not the highest at any of those retailers.
| GoCashBack’s Rate | Top Cash-Back Rate Among Competitors | |
| Walmart | $8 on certain first orders or a Walmart+ sign-up; 0% on most purchases | Up to 15% |
| Home Depot | Not available | Up to 10.1% |
| Nike | Up to 6% | 9% |
| Sephora | 4% | Up to 8% |
My Experience Cashing Out With GoCashBack
GoCashBack has paid me before, and the shopping trips I tested generally tracked correctly. But I’ve had enough trouble cashing out that I’d rank it far below the better cash-back sites I’ve used.
In my case, I originally used an Amazon gift card as my payout method.
When I later switched to PayPal, GoCashBack told me I would need to complete another shopping trip before I could withdraw (I’ve never had that response before from competitors).
Support said that if I switched back to Amazon, I could cash out without making another purchase.
I switched back to Amazon, but the withdrawal still wouldn’t go through. I also tried cashing out through the app and ran into the same issue.
To their credit, GoCashBack’s support has responded when I’ve contacted them, and I have successfully received rewards from the company before. So I wouldn’t say it doesn’t work.
But I would be more cautious here than with some of the larger cash-back platforms.
Comparing Other Shopping Portal Promos
Some of the best cash-back sites offer higher bonuses, but the requirements vary.
I keep a running list of bonus offers from shopping portals. The current best offers are:
| Platform | Welcome Bonus | Details |
| Rakuten | $50 | Rakuten Referral Bonus |
| Capital One Shopping | $80 | Capital One Shopping Bonus |
| Kudos | $20 (+ $50 off Premium) | Kudos Referral Bonus |
| GoCashBack | $15 | GoCashBack Promo |
| Swagbucks | $10 | Swagbucks Sign-Up Bonus |
GoCashBack Referral Code: Final Verdict
Overall, I’ve occasionally seen high cash-back rates with GoCashBack’s limited-time promotions. If there’s a strong cash-back offer, GoCashBack may still be worth using. I’d consider it if the rate were two or three times higher than what I could get elsewhere.
But I wouldn’t make it my go-to cash-back site. Keep good records of your purchases, take screenshots, and don’t assume withdrawing your rewards will always be seamless.
