Jenni Sisson Writer Bio

Her work has appeared in publications such as Business Insider, The Money Mindset, The Ultimate Financial Guide for Oil and Gas Professionals and The Physician’s Guide to Personal Finance.

Her financial philosophy is, “Don’t plan your life around your money — make your money fit the life you want.”

Family is a key factor in how Sisson thinks and writes about money. As a mom to four kids, Sisson has leveraged many of the strategies covered on The Ways To Wealth to raise a bigger-than-average family on a smaller-than-average income, including budgeting, savings apps and coupons and investing. A serial side hustler, she’s started multiple businesses ranging from making and selling maple syrup to teaching piano lessons.

Together with her husband, Sisson has gone from $9,000 in credit card debt to cashflowing a master’s degree in four years with four kids on a family salary of $32,000. They’ve also househacked to make their first foray into real estate investing in the form of a 100-acre dairy farm.

Sisson graduated with a bachelor’s degree in linguistics from Brigham Young University and is a member of the Financial Coaches Network. She also facilitates community personal finance and self-reliance education classes.

She lives in Utah with her husband, four rambunctious kids, and a Brittany spaniel. Connect with her on Instagram or LinkedIn.
